    What would be effect if I only changed the speedo gear and not the trans gear I suppose I should still change speedo gear. What do you think? Thanks again 89sleeper

    The 50Resto site says the Tranmission drive gear must be changed also for correct speedo calibration with the 23 tooth speedo gear. Do you know what else I need to do. Also is it easy to change speedo gear. Thanks again 89sleeper and tjm73

    I have a 90 LX that currently has optional 3:08 from factory. I'm installing 3:55 gears. To figure out what new speedo gear I need the chart says I probably have 8 drive gear teeth. Thich means I need a 23 tooth speedo gear. Not available Did the 90LX come with T5 or T45. Also is it 7 or 8...

    No. Good question though. If FORD put the money into it I figure it must be necessary. What threw me off going that way was that only the pass side exhaust smokes. the smoke is consistant with misfire, so I'm thinking its ignition.

    The MSD Blaster coils are terrible. Are the Caps and rotors bad also. I ve had good luck with wires in the past. Since it only smokes on one side maybe its a bad cap or a lowsy fit over dist allowing moisture in. Or a hairline crack. Can anyone recommend Accel or Ford if you think its coil or cap

    I own a 90 lx 5.0. I am considering a 98 explorer upper/lower intake manifold. Can I buy any 65 or 70mm '86-'95 TBI. I dont think I need an EGR plate with this intake but I'm not sure.
