    Brake Upgrade Question?

They fit fine. You don't need them on a 99+ car.

    Brake Upgrade Question?

You can save $50 since you have a 99+. Get the rotors from www.tirerack.com (high quality Brembo units) $145 delivered. Then get the calipers from any Ford Motorsport dealer ($190-215 + shipping). The calipers come with pads.

    Brake Pad Help Needed

You might want to try some CarboTech (Bobcat compound) or Porterfield pads. They will have more bite and a larger temperature range than the Hawks. Make sure you pick the right compound. You'll need something that stops from 0 degrees up.

    Bullitt Brake Upgrade

The main differences in the kits are the rotors and the lines. DiscBrakesRUs's kit comes with s@#% rotors, but does have Stainless steels b-lines. Other people use the Ford / Brembo rotor, which is a nicer piece.

    lowered car = drivetrain vibartion??????

    1) did you have your car aligned after your CC plate install? 2) Did you change your pinion snubber? 3) Are the Control arms adjustable? Your pinion angle could be off 4) Did you buy cheap gears? The rear end in our Chevy van did exactly as you are describing. It had a defective rear...

    Tire Rack sucks

The examples I looked at the Kumho 712 's (famous for narrow) was 10.6, while the PZero was 10.8. These numbers can vary by tread design. Your experence may vary. I didn't compare widths for all the tires.

    Tire Rack sucks

You've got a few things going on there: #1 - The tire rack guy isn't a Mustang expert. He was just giving you the best advice he had on him. #2 - Not all 265 tires are the same width. If you compare tires from 2 different mfgr's they may not be the same width. A good example of this is...

    Power Impressions of 5.0 5sp Vs. 4.6L 5sp

Another reason for the difference is that the 2002 GT engine has to operate over a broader power band. This means all the intake part sizes are larger, which will remove some of the responsiveness. To illustrate this - Try comparing a GT to a Mach1, you'll notice the GT is much more responsive...

    Clutch Pedal Vibration???

Some say it's because of the bushings used on the pedal assembly.

    3-Link Rear suspension?

That something is the 3rd link. The 2 lower control arms, a center control arm on top (bolted to the top of the pumpkin), and a PanHard bar going sideways. No Torque arm.

    Road Race Courses

UDTBadkarma, If you are interested in getting started, I'd recommend looking up NASA www.NASAPRORACING.com. They have an HPDE program that's perfect for the beginner. The SCCA really doesn't have a beginner program. There are probably a few local clubs. I'd ask around, most don't have a good...

who is ACTUALLY buying an '05 stang ASAP?

I don't think Ford can launch a decent product. Just look at the Escape, Focus, Cobra (heads), and 6.0 Powerstroke launces

    Light Bar vs. Roll Bar

Can you get a roll bar that has an asstetic covering like a light bar? If so, get that :-) As far as talking him into getting a rollbar for HPDE's. Check to see what the sactioning body's rules are (configuration, wall thickness, do racing seats have to be installed with it, etc).

    351 into gt?

Sure it can be. You just need to throw an ODB-II fuel injection system on there. OBD-II just is a std set of computer codes for a diag machine to pull, items the computer must measure, and a physical connector for the car.

    2005 GT Motor Pics, 3-Valve

THere was a guy on the corral awhile back saying he put the aus verion on his car. Apparently the heads are swappable, but you'll need the computer and wiring harness too because the VVT is contolled by a computer actuatted oil thingie.

    351 into gt?

The corral has an article about putting a 302 into a 99+. See their road race car.
