    get a hold down plate it makes life alot easier, the bottom rubbers should be ok just roll the metal edge down. the stock cap will work and fan should clear no problem.

    Highest lift cam with stock E7's?

    I run an "X" cam with milled stockers in my daily driver. I used the Crane 44308 kit and carbed it with an X-cellerator and a 650dp. Car is a blast to drive with a 4.30 rear and 5 speed.

    ok, first off start with vacuum leaks they will cause the thing to idle like crap, stink like fuel and hunt for an idle after revved. next are all the lifters pumped up and if so how big is the camshaft is it possible that you had a little piston to valve side action going on under the hood...
