Looking for a cam

Well I have a vic jr top end kit now on my 351w. I run about 8.5 to 1 compression. I have a holley 750 dp mech secondaries. The car is a 5 spd with 3.73 gears. I currently have the XE 274 cam in my car. The cam is running out of steam way before the heads or intake are. I also spray a 150 shot of juice. I have power brakes so I need a cam that still makes vaccuum but one that will pull to 6800. I really want to shift around 6500 rpm but currently my cam seems to run to 6000rpm. Let me know if you have a combo simular to mine and what cam you reccomend. Thx in advance.

Have you tried retarding the cam 2 or 4 degrees? If you're not lacking for bottom end, you can raise your entire power band by retarding the camshaft timing.

I had not thought of that. Saves me a little money if it works. I'm going to do some research into that
