    Falken Tires

Gettin some new tires this week - I have heard both good and bad things about the Falken Ziex ZE-512s. A few people told me they are a really good tire and others told me they are garbage ...not sticky, etc. I think they look good, and the 360 tread-wear rating sounds reasonable for the price...

Not a blown head gasket afterall..

Thanks guys ...it just caught my attention one night when I was on the interstate for an hour+ and I got off an exit and looked in the rear view mirror and still saw the white smoke. Today though, it was 75 degrees the smoke was very minimal. After I did the tests today, I'm pretty relieved -...

Not a blown head gasket afterall..

I had a post last week (guess it got wiped out) ...but I finally ran some checks today ...Pressurized the radiator, compression test, etc. Nothing. I was thinking it wasn't a head gasket because the car was still running perfect, but I was fearing for the worst. I guess the white smoke out...

    3.73's Installed Finally

nice ...the good thing about 3.73s is that 1st gear still serves a purpose ...with 4.10s its almost too short

    Best Sounding Exaust

Mustangtuning and UPR are great. Personally, I wouldn't get BBK - I've heard too many complaints of rasp ...the others will sound really clean Aside from those, the Dr. Gas X/Flowmaster combo is the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard..

    Flowmaster 1-chamber vs. 2 chamber

O/R X pipe with 2 chambers sounds awesome as long as you get a good style X pipe. I recommend this combo. I wouldn't do the 1 chamber and X pipe combo - it will just be loud and won't have as deep of a sound ...it will sound mean, but you might get annoyed by the rasp.

why pro chamber over x or h?

Prochamber has a nice deep tone ...but its quieter than the other mid pipes. Any midpipe is going to sound deep on a stang, so if you want it to be loud - An O/R X or H will probably be your best option.

    SLP catted X and Flows

I have this setup ...the sound is awesome and the SLP X pipe is great quality. Very clean, smooth sound with the Flows. I have a clip if you want it ...just PM me with your email and I'll send it.

Anyone here run an SLP X-pipe??

great quality, great fit, and even greater sound

    exhaust Question

no prob. If you are wondering why, take a look at pics of the design of bbk or bassani, then compare it to some others. They use a different X junction and I just don't think they give the clean, smooth X pipe howl that people want. www.mustangtuning.com has some good x pipes that I mentioned...

BBK o/r X and BBK Longtubes?

Actually, the BBK design is signifcantly different than the Dr. Gas design. IMO, the BBK will give you more of a raspy sound, not even comparing to the famous tone of Dr. Gas. Look at pictures of both X junctions - you will see the difference.

    exhaust Question

If you wanna go catless, thats up to you - and whether or not you have emissions. But as far as the x pipe goes, bassani and bbk are the last brands I would recommend to go with the Flowmasters. I've heard a lot of people complain about rasp with these brands. I would recommend SLP if you are...

    Magnaflow Vs. Flowmaster

With any aftermarket exhaust, you are only going to pick up a few horses. You won't gain 13rwhp by putting magnaflows on. People like to just jack up the numbers. Basically, just choose an exhaust for the sound that you want. So, if I were you, I'd keep the Flows.
  15. Steve777

    Ahh, decisions!! Flowmasters or Magnapacks?!!?!

You can't go wrong with Flowmaster on mustangs.. I have a short clip of mine reving if you want it ...just PM me with your email address

sqeaking coming from engine until it warms up

Is it kinda like a howling/whistling sound? Mine does it for about 3 or 4 minutes when its cold, then goes away. I'm thinkin its the belt as well..
  17. Steve777

    H-pipe or an X-pipe??

I disagree. It depends on what type of X pipe you get - If you get a style crossover similar to Dr. Gas (such as Mustangtuning, UPR, or SLP)...it will sound badass with the Flows. I wouldn't recommend the BBK x pipe though - the junction has a different design and some people complain about...

    Catted Prochamber?

Won't be too loud. A catted X or H would be louder. The catted prochamber would sound nice and clean though..
  19. Steve777

Flowmaster 40 Series VS. 40 Series Deltas.

If you wanna wake it up, you'd have to lose the cats. The prochamber isn't a loud midpipe to begin with - quieter than Hs and Xs ...with cats on it it's not going be too loud at all, but I'm sure it sounds nice and clean though ..prochambers do have a really good tone when paired with Flows

Flowmaster 40 Series VS. 40 Series Deltas.

Actually both are 2 chambers ...similar in exterior sound levels ...but with a slightly different type of sound. As far as power differences, the Super 40's supposedly flow better, but you won't notice any difference.
