Sounds like you're having just as bad of luck as I am.

    Cops are out in force!!!

I wasn't talking about the cost of the fines. The article I was talking about made reference to the number of tickets written, not counting the ones from red light cameras. Maybe the fact that the number of tickets written has increased in recent years, and the increase of number of cops I...

    Cops are out in force!!!

Too bad not all CHP guys give Mustangs a pass. Although the guy that pulled me over did let me go when I told him that I had just received a ticket for my window tint a couple of weeks prior. As for the CHP not receiving the ticket revenue, you admitted that the money goes to the county...

    Radar Detectors Are Now Worthless

Well, I've NEVER been pulled over for speeding and just received a warning. Probably because I don't have tits. I think I'll take my chances with a radar detector.

    Post Pics of Your Mustang

I just got a ticket for having 35% tint on my windows, and I was pulled over again for it about 2 weeks later. I think cops used to let you go for stuff like this, but now they're desparate to make money, so they're cracking down.

    Cops are out in force!!!

This is the same argument I hear against tint all the time. It makes sense, but I'm sorry, it just doesn't hold water with me. Don't cops need to be safe at traffic stops in AZ as well? If so, then why are you allowed to tint your windows to 25% there? 25% is pretty damn dark. If it's...

    Cops are out in force!!!

No problem dude. SB's awesome by the way. I used to head down to IV every once in a while to party when I was going to Cal Poly. That was a LONG time ago though. I hear they've kinda clamped down on the ol' crazy Halloween bashes that used to go on down there. Got tailed for about a...

    Cops are out in force!!!

I explained to the CHP that I had just received a ticket for the same thing and hadn't had time to fix it yet. He was cool and let me go. But I purposely chose 35% tint to not be too dark. You can still see inside my car, it's not like I have limo tint. Look at my sig pic. As far as cops...

    coasting downhill in neutral...

I'm not sure at what speed the amount of fuel burned becomes less than at idle. It could be that coasting instead of going 70 will save fuel. Hopefully someone that knows more about this will chime in.

    Cops are out in force!!!

Yeah, legal tint in CA is a joke. The part that bugs me is that if it's really about driver or officer safety, why are states allowed to set their own tint laws? What is legal varies widely from state to state. Doesn't the sun shine just as brightly in California as it does in Arkansas or Nevada?

    Cops are out in force!!!

Gimme a break dude, I got the first ticket about 2 weeks ago! I was just trying to give people a head's up. Way to be an ass about it. The ticket says I have until September to take care of it. It is a fix-it ticket, and I'll fix it when I have some spare time and money to take care of it.

    coasting downhill in neutral...

I don't know if you're actually saving much fuel that way. When you're idling, the car's mixture is at it's richest, so you're actually burning more fuel. That's one of the reasons why your gas mileage during city driving is so bad. You're wasting a ton of gas when you're sitting at a stop...

    Cops are out in force!!!

Hey folks, I just wanted to give you a little head’s up. I have been pulled over by cops 3 times in the last 2 months!!! I was pulled over by Los Gatos PD for speeding, Campbell PD for tinted windows and last night by the CHP for tinted windows. I can understand being pulled over for...

    Radar Detectors Are Now Worthless

Is it possible to wire radar detectors into the car's electrical system, so that it will automatically turn on when you start the car?

    Cold air intake w/o tune

Sorry, but ever since I found out a few years back that my Granatelli MAF that was supposed to be CARB legal, wasn't, I have trouble believing anything that Granatelli says.

    oil pressure issue?

That seems strange. I don't see what a tune would have to do with your oil pressure. As far as I know, you don't "tune" your oil pump. Either it's on, or it isn't.

    Sequential Taillights Question

If anything, I think the sequential lights are better than the stock taillights. Since I got mine, I've been looking at other Mustangs, and I've noticed that with the stock lights, only the outer 2 lights, light up when you signal or step on the brake. I'm not sure if that inside light ever...

    Radar Detectors Are Now Worthless

Lots of good info there. Thanks dude. I will definitely be picking up a detector in the next month or so. Money's pretty tight right now though.
