    Bolt on/Stock times. 1/8 and 1/4

99 manual with prochamber, flowpaths, steeda pullies, dragon 75mm tb/plenum, JLT RAI, predator tuner. I went to the track twice this summer when it was hot as balls and ran from 13.9-14.1....usually right near 14 and 101.3-102.4 trap speed. I had terrible 60 ft times as I could not get...

    Possibly running Lean?

Normal when its cold and offroad pipe. At least mine does the same thing with the prochamber and didn't really notice with the stock hpipe. I don't have any problems either @100k. During warmer weather, though, you should not see smoke after up to operating temp.

    PCV valve need replaced????

Replaced mine at 100k at it was still fine...NA bolt-ons. Don't need to replace it until then unless you are really bored.

    noob question about offroad pipes

To be a little more clear. When its cold out and/or your car is not warm yet...yes the volume of smoke will be more as there is no restriction. However...once the car is good and warm you should not see any smoke. If you do all of the time...make sure you are not losing too much oil or coolant.

    noob question about offroad pipes

Yes I definately noticed more smoke. It is just becasue you don't have those cats blocking and burning alot of it. Don't worry about it...just enjoy the smell.

    Synthetic advantages.

I would keep using what has gotten you this far. If you had a new car then I would use synthetic, but you don't so be faithful to the oil you have been using. Plus, losing a quart every 4k miles is no big deal and is well within ford specs. Just keep an eye on the level and change every 3k...

    oil pooling in valve cover?

You should be able to tell if the oil is running down from your PCV. If it is in the holes above your pcv towards the front then it is probably gasket related. If its just a little I wouldn't worry about it, but if its alot and your are losing oil then you need to have the valve cover taken...

    need some help

Hmmmm. Doesn't make much sense. I know that as long as this is a problem identified under warranty then they should keep fixing it forever. Unless of course it stays fixed for over a year. Maybe it will work this time, but if not I would not pay anything as they have yet to fix a warranty issue.

    need some help

What exactly have they done? Have they actually replaced the AC compressor? I had a similar problem where the clutch on the compressor kept falling off, so they just replaced the compressor since it was slightly defective and the clutch wouldn't stay on it. No problems since.

Dragon upper plenum and dragon 75mm throttle body?? GOOD??

Excellent. Quality parts. Have them on my '99 with no complaints.

    Are these services necessary?!

At that mileage I wouldn't change any of those. Never power steering unless you have problems. Coolant drained and filled every 30k, but no need to flush the whole system. Tranny fluid on a manual will go a long time...did mine at 95k and it was still fine. Diff can go forever also...wait at...

Does This Seem Right? (Tire Question)

You should still be able to chirp tires. Sometimes when you get new tires the traction is really good initially and as they wear a little the traction will be easier to break. Give them a week or so and see if they don't break easier.

    Steeda Pulleys

The shorter bolt is a replacement for the stock crank bolt and you can use it if you want. I personally went to ford and got another OEM bolt, but I don't think it really matters. As far as the RTV, make sure to put a good glob in the keyway and yes I would let it setup for an hour at least...

'99-'00 GT's - how common is highway pinging?

I had the same type of pinging with my '99 on 87 octane, but never really worried about it. I finally changed my spark plugs and I think that was a major cause because the electrodes were worn and the gaps were much larger than they should be. Not much pinging after that. I run 93 all of the...

    pulleys

Steeda's are expensive, but they are the safest and the only ones I would recommend. I like mine and no issues if installed correctly.

Clicking noise when clutch is all the way out?

My 99 has chirped on and off pretty much since I've had it with 100k on the clutch now and still going. It used to be bad in the summer, but not as bad anymore for some reason. In fact I rarely hear it now. Push in the pedal at all and it stops. Just a chirping noise, though, no clicking...

    tensioner/belt issues

I have a '99 also. FYI, you do not have to replace the whole tensioner. The tensioner pulley is exactly the same as the idler pulley. I have 100k miles on the stock tensioner and I just replaced the pulley on it a while back...along with the idler pulley. Just FYI in case you want to save a...

Help with new k&n fipk problem

Like Kilgore said...if it is still doing that in a couple days then try the stock airbox. Also, check the MAF really well and for any leaks past your MAF up to the throttle body. You don't have to disconnect the battery since the computer will learn quickly, but if it makes you feel better...

Help with new k&n fipk problem

Your car should adjust in a day or so and stop doing that.

    OPTIMUM Predator Tune

I use the Factory Tune with timing maxed and 93 octane. I had run the predator tune with timing maxed also before with no issues. My car seems to pull harder with the factory tune and timing maxed. I have all of the basic bolt-ons on a '99 GT. Keep in mind that your timing is only...
