OK, finishing up on my brake conversion ( 86 GT to SN95/Cobra R spec.) and need a little help from all you guys who have done this already. Need some electrical help

Get a test light and get to work! Start at the rear of the car and make sure you are getting power to the lights, since they are not working, they are not likely to show 12v+ so trace the wires all the way to the switch, and check the switch itself, you should be able to find the cause somewhere...

    Some mechanical and maintenence ?'s

Your mustang does not have a hydraulic clutch, but I would recomend you check the trans. fluid. To do so there is small plug, I think on the drivers side of the transmission ( been a while since I checked mine!), that comes off with a 3/8 or 1/2" drive rachet. You should be able to stick your...

    mass air meter

NO, I my opinion the only time you should fool with the mass air meter if if you change injector sizes. The bigger unit wont hurt anything, It will simply allow more air to flow to the intake.

    Need intake opinions/input for s/c'd 331

Thanks for all the good input guys. I think I'll probably go with the Holley especally since I can get one cheap ( $200 and a stock intake from a buddy who is selling his car!). Help With Staying NHRA Compliant For Battery Relocation!

To keep it simple, I have a Taylor alum box, mounted in the back of my GT, and a visible switch that "kills" the car when engaged, and have never had any problems with tech at many different tracks in multiple states. The "common" problem with most installs is that the switch does not shut the...

    Need intake opinions/input for s/c'd 331

Yeah, I agree I'm pushing it with the stock block! So lets say I get a real block ( eventually) what do you think would be my best bet to squeeze the most power out of this setup? BTW...the car does see regular street use, and has 3:73's, and a manual trans.

    Need intake opinions/input for s/c'd 331

I have been beating myself up over this for a while and wanted to get some solid opinions to help sway my decision...I am running a DSS 331, ported edel. rpm heads ( 2.02/1.60 valves), 70mm tb, 76 mm C&l MAF with a T-trim Vortech ( power pipe/ 2.95/7.00 pulleys) and about every bolt on you can...

    Just did Mass Air Conv.

I see that you are in SC as well! :nice: With the mods that you have listed I think the MAF conversion was the next logical step. As far as horsepower, I think you gained more in drivability...And opened the door for more performance mods.
