What's the top speed you've gotten your 2010 Mustang to??

Is there a speed limiter on these?

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

If by slightly you mean 100+ over a stock GT, then yes, that seems pretty reasonable/street-able to me. I'm not looking to prove anything (owning the fastest or highest hp car in the world). I just want something that is fast and fun. At a certain point it would just get impractical.

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

I don't follow your logic. For a 4400# car to go 12's in the 1/4 it would need about 420 WHP +/-. If you put that same motor in a 3600# car you would probably be in the 11's. Also, the car he was talking about is AWD, which means more drive train loss. There would probably be even more...

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

Man, did I stir the pot or what?!?! What I meant by this is, in the 70's Ford tried to get better gas mileage and the horsepower numbers sucked. I think a lot of people are being way to optimistic thinking Ford won't try to improve mileage again. I also don’t think they are going to exclude...

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

Hello?! That’s why I say go EcoBoost. It is actually lighter than the 4.6L. One website claimed over 150lbs lighter (don’t know how accurate that is). So you could have a 3.5L twin turbo making more than a 250 lb heavier 5.0L. Granted the 5.0L would be easier to get more power out of...

Where is PCV valve hose supposed to hook up?

So I should probably get the filler neck that Trick Flow sells for their valve covers. It has a bung for the vacuum line. Then I can run the PCV to the location I mentioned previously? Thanks for your help by the way!

Where is PCV valve hose supposed to hook up?

I do not have a vacuum line going from filler neck to throttle body. Don't have a filler neck...lol. The vacuum line at the throttle body is just blocked off. Is that bad? Does the PCV have to be plugged in under the intake or can it be plugged in the driver's side of the upper intake...

Where is PCV valve hose supposed to hook up?

I tried a search, but couldn’t really find what I was looking for. My car leaks oil, like crazy, through the valve cover breather. I have since learned that I’m not really supposed to have a valve cover breather since I have a PCV valve. So I have replaced the breather with a “push-in” oil...

    AWD EcoBoost Mustang in 2012???

Yeah, I'm not very optimistic about Ford building an AWD Mustang. Just wanted to have a discussion to get people's opinions. I really haven't seen a discussion on this topic anywhere else on the web. While I really would like an AWD Mustang, I would settle for an AWD performance version of...

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

Actually, there are several sources saying the 3.5L EcoBoost will replace the 4.6L in F150's. Linky, Linky "The fun-to-drive nature of EcoBoost engines is leading Ford to introduce these fuel-saving powertrains in large volumes virtually across its lineup. For example, by 2013 more than 90...

    AWD EcoBoost Mustang in 2012???

Ok, Mr. IliveinTexas. What is this snow you speak of? :ban::D I think the ability for the driver to turn the AWD off or send a good portion of the power to the rear would be key here. I think that would make the AWD more acceptable for a lot of people.

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

The only argument I have for that is, Ford says EcoBoost 4cyl and 6cyl will replace V6 and V8 in 90% of it's line by 2013. You have to figure the super duty trucks will still be V8. I don't know how many percent that leaves for the mustang to stay v8? Like I said before though, I would take...

    AWD EcoBoost Mustang in 2012???

It would be cool to be able to go RWD or AWD. Call it "sport" mode or something. It's not a "must have" for me, but it is welcomed. Beggers can't be choosers though, so if it's all time AWD, I'm not complaining.

    AWD EcoBoost Mustang in 2012???

The poll numbers are still great! 25% are seriously interested, 46% think it would be cool, 20% don't give a hoot and that leaves less than 10% that are completely opposed. Really not what I expected but great nonetheless.:nice:

    Ford Selling Volvo

That's why they need to reintroduce the Cougar. Instead of a "probe-ish" front wheel drive POS, they should make it based off of the Mustang platform (revised w/AWD capabilities of course). As it was back in the day, the base model should be a V8 (or AWD 3.5L EcoBoost would suffice). Next...

    AWD EcoBoost Mustang in 2012???

Hmmm...My wife has an '07 Impreza and it drive pretty good in the snow. It has 130 hp less than your STI though. Probably makes a difference. lol. When driving normally does it do ok in the snow?

    AWD EcoBoost Mustang in 2012???

More food for thought: Fastest production Buick and still collector car today: Buick Grand National GNX. This was a 3.8L Turbo V6 with 276HP and 360 lb-ft torque. Fords 3.5L twin turbo V6 is 355/365 hp (at 1100RPM higher than GNX) and 350 lb-ft torque (at 500RPM higher). That's almost 100...
