Where is PCV valve hose supposed to hook up?

I tried a search, but couldn’t really find what I was looking for.

My car leaks oil, like crazy, through the valve cover breather. I have since learned that I’m not really supposed to have a valve cover breather since I have a PCV valve. So I have replaced the breather with a “push-in” oil cap. It still leaks oil somehow.

I was looking at the PCV valve and noticed the rubber tube coming out of it doesn’t even hook up anywhere. Where is this hose supposed to hook up? It should be hooked up, correct?

There is a spot on the driver’s side of my trickflow upper intake. I’m not sure if that is the correct location. Will that introduce oil into my intake or is the PCV valve supposed to only release air?

I don’t really know much about this as you can tell. For instance, how does air get into the crankcase in the first place?

Please excuse my “newb-ness” and thanks for your help!

Leaks past the rings.

Do you have the Hose going from the Throttle Body to the Oil Filler neck tube?

The PCV valve plugs into a vacuum tree under the upper intake manifold right above where the PCV is located at.

I do not have a vacuum line going from filler neck to throttle body. Don't have a filler neck...lol. The vacuum line at the throttle body is just blocked off. Is that bad?

Does the PCV have to be plugged in under the intake or can it be plugged in the driver's side of the upper intake? Will save me a lot of work, if it will work that way.

You dont need to run the PCV system with out the Throttle body to filler neck tube. It wont work correctly.

So, you either run breathers on both Valve covers, or, run the PCV system. On a Mass Air car, you cant do both.

So I should probably get the filler neck that Trick Flow sells for their valve covers. It has a bung for the vacuum line. Then I can run the PCV to the location I mentioned previously?

Thanks for your help by the way!
