    Intake and tune ?'s

I went with JMS Chip. http://www.jmschip.com/shop/index.php?cPath=1_63 They have a few kits that are priced well. I put down 288 RWHP with their CAI, SCT tuner and some Steeda underdive pullies. (with the ECONOMY TUNE!!!)

Need advise on removing harmonic balancer

You do not want to stress those threads.... Unless re-tapping the crank shaft sounds like fun to you. :notnice: I worried about the puller bolt pushing so hard on the end of the crank that the starter threads might get damaged. Thankfully that did NOT happen. BTW... you will REALLY...

Need advise on removing harmonic balancer

I ran into the same problem when installing the Steeda under-drive pullies. I used an old socket that was about the same diameter as the crank shaft. The puller screw seated itself into the hole for the 3/8 inch drive ratchet. The screw got pretty chewed up, but the darn harmonic balancer...

flowmaster american thunder major cabin drone!

I'm running Flowmaster Super 40's and have moderate drone at around 1800 RPM. I think your X pipe is making it worse. Since 1800-2000 RPM is around 50-65 MPH, I'm considering 4.10 gears, to bump up the RPM a bit and get it out of the "drone range".

    New Exhaust SIDE PIPES!!!!!

I had Borla side pipes on my 2000 Stang. It was my intention to cut the side pipe system from my old stang and have it installed on my 05. No dice.... frame and undercarriage were totally different! Side pipes are waaaay cool, but kiss ground clearance good-by. Be sure to post a good...

    First set of Mods

You might want to check out JMS chip. http://www.jmschip.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=332 This kit has the CAI, under-drive pullies and the tuner for $649! I have basically the same kit, and with the JMS 87 octane tune got 288 RWHP. Be sure to post your dyno numbers!

    Fog Lamp Tinting pics

Opinions vary...... One thing is for certain... they are not the "normal" spacing. They DO line up well with the fog lamps. Since they are vinyl... they are not final. They may change once I decide to have them painted on.

    Fog Lamp Tinting pics

Hey all, As with the louvers... I just cant keep let things be. I had a local guy install a window tinting material over my fog lamps. As you can see in the pics I went with yellow. He is currently creating kits to sell online (ebay?) that will allow tinting the fog lamps...

    Side window louver pics

Today was the FIRST time I've noticed a reduction in visability. I was backing out of a parking spot. It was a bit scary.... not being able to see out the rear quarter window. I did not see much of an improvement with the Roush louvers. So I guess louvers are not for the "faint at...

    AMSOIL Motor Oil Service Interval?

I am currently running AMSOIL. It has a 25K mile or 1 year drain interval. Now I estimate putting about 14K miles on my stang this year. (I've put 8K on it since December 8th 2004) I changed out the AMSOIL filter @ 7K miles. I'll change out the oil and filter @ 14K or thereabouts...

    Side window louver pics

The louvers came from 3D Carbon black un-painted plastic. I painted the interior side black myself. :D I had a local guy paint the exterior side Satin Silver. He only charged me $75 for prep and paint for both louvers and my radiator cover. :nice:

    Going full synthetic? huh

I too use AMSOIL. But I have also never seen a side by side compairison between it and Redline. I do not know of any being done. In the past I've used Mobile 1 in many of my other cars without fear. It is good stuff and easy to obtain. I would definetly stay away from Fram. YIKES...

    Side window louver pics

Well to answer some of these posts: Yes functional louvers would be used to re-direct airflow.... but I figure window louvers are more for blocking sunlight or just plain looks. Side window louvers for the 05 are just for looks. It would be nice to have the quarter panel appear like a 60's...

    Side window louver pics

www.3Dcarbon.com I got mine pre-production..... but the current price is $149. At this time you have to get them painted yourself. Installation is tricky.

    Side window louver pics

You can "see" out of what I call functional louvers. The ones I purchased from 3D Carbon, and many others are basically plastic covers that mount to the side window glass and completly block it out. The slots are really just black stickers to make it appear like there are slots. Functional...

    Side window louver pics

Hey all, I just installed a set of 3D Carbon side window louvers. :D My paint guy said prep was easy, and the paint adhered fine. Installation was a bit tricky.... since using 3M tape, you only get one shot at getting them centered properly. Good luck!!! The louvers DO NOT have...
