Quick auto to manual question (tried search)

You can get away without cutting the floor by installing the shifter before you install the transmission. The only thing that sucks about doing it this way is you wont be able to remove the shifter for any reason unless you remove the transmission. I chose to cut the floor in mine because I like...

No fuel from injectors 7 and 8 Need help ASAP

I swapped out the ignition control module and got the noid light to work, but still running rough. I ended up doing a compression check and got no compression in both 7 and 8 cylinders. I am pretty sure it is a blown head gasket between the two cylinders.

No fuel from injectors 7 and 8 Need help ASAP

I put a noid light on and just as I suspected there is no pulse from Injectors 7 and 8. The light just stays off. I am thinking this could be either the ECM or the distributor.

    Hydraulic clutch cnc master cylinder

If I went with a smaller master to make the pedal effort easier then the the throw of the slave would be smaller right? Looks like I might have to raise the linkage point on my pedal. Maybe fabricat a wedge shaped spacer to go between the master and the firewall to mimic the angle on the JMC...

steeroids / J-car Rack and pinion = Sloppy steering

Figured it out today. One of the bolts that bolt the center bracket to the rack loosened up and the bracket was twisting. I put on some red threadlocker on the 2 bolts and cranked them down as tight as I could. I then noticed some play in the rack itself, so I tightened up the rack a little but...

Firing up the Blown, Stroked and Injected beast

Thats not belt squeal. That is how all the Vortech V1 superchargers sound. As for the wheels, you are entitled to your opinion but I happen to love them. Wait to see the car completed to judge the wheels.

serp belt rubbing together need help!!

You need to remove the smog eliminator pulley and drill a new hole in the aluminum block about an inch or higher if you can. This will move the smog pulley up and the belt will run higher above the water pump. You will probably need a longer belt. I have the cobra water pump pulley, stock power...

What would it cost to build a 347?

I just got a Scat 331 Stroker kit with forged everything. My pistons cost a little more because I had to go with .040 over instead of .030 over. My kit cost right around $2000 shipped direct from Scat. The kit with .030 pistons was around $1600. I had my local machine shop bore the block from...
