Cowl Vents - need some help

Yeah, it wasnt that bad, but still rusted through. It did not affect the actual cowl panel like most northern cars... Now we are considering moving... maybe all the way to Oregon!

    Finally got some pics.....

I had mine re-chromed. I told them it was not a concourse class restore, but a restomod driver and I stilled paid out the A$$ for it. For the two outer vents with all the pieces, I want to say it was 350 or so... I was pissed they didnt warn me, but afterwards, they sure look nice. Remember...

    Rolling my fender lips

I AM going to find a way to do this. I rolled the lips and if I have to redrill the holes and put small machined screws in... I WILL! I am hoping I can do this in a few weeks and give you an update.

Cowl Vents - need some help

I also had very good luck on mine, which you check on on the cardomain site. From what I remember, it fit in all places like a glove and no problems.

    Vent Window Weatherstripping

Now THAT is true!!!! I just replaced mine also. Mine is a 67 as well, but I did not have to remove any rivet. It was actually a screw. I did not use any sealant along any portion of the vent window weatherstrip. It went in well, and appears to be sealed (MUCH better than the original...

    05GT wheels on 67

I have 05 V6 wheels on my 67. I had to purchase 1.25" spacers and they fit/look great. Reenmachine also has put on the new wheels/spacers and probably has more experience. As for me, no problems and they fit great.

    Classic Auto Air

I have used them to get all the pieces for my 67 with factory air. Call them and talk to them... I was 'convinced' I wanted the new kit with everything, but they talked me out of it since my car was a factory air car. They have all the parts, etc to fix yours so no problems. I even upgraded...

    repop sheetmetal

It depends on who/how you want to pay for it. I was under alot of pressure from my wife to get the sheetmetal on, so I opted for original tooling stuff.. .yeah it cost more, but it fit like a glove and went on without incendent or fit issues. If you are paying someone to put them on, opt for...

    '67-'68 GT Rear Valance Quality

I got mine from branda and it was a repop. I was not thrilled with the fit and had to cut it down about 1". Other than being too long, the fit was good though.

White lithium vs synthetic grease on window parts?

Yes, that is what I am cleaning up from all the channels, that gummy mess. Granted it is a 40 yr old gummy mess... not too bad. I'm leaning towards the synthetics now (like I have always been) but worried that something required it.

White lithium vs synthetic grease on window parts?

I am about to put all the window regulators, frames, channels etc back together on my project and want to know what grease to put on all the parts. Mustang monthly did an article saying to use the white lithium grease, but was that because what is original, or what is better? I am a big...

    Need some advise. (Texas engineering)

I worked with a guy that graduated from Tech in mechanical engineering (I'm electrical). He specialized in flow and was top notch for the company. He has a couple of patents and overall, I was impressed with his degree. I have also contracted out electrical work to a bunch of aggies, and they...
