    car has mind of its own on highway

    I had a similar problem; the car would wander in ruts on the road. Check the knuckle in your steering shaft. I had some play in the steering wheel and was able to see the shaft slipping when I checked it. A new steering shaft solved the problem.

    Try running Autolite 3923's. They are 1 plug colder than your 24's. The gap at .035 is fine. When you say bleach white plugs, are you referring to the ceramic insulator? A rich running plug would have dry tips that are matt black or sooty or could be wet and look glossy black. Normal...

    Aftermarket Fuel Rails & Distributor Not Fitting

    Thanks for the input. I may try cutting the rail back some and use some Durafix. I was searching "aluminum welding" and ran across some aluminum brazing rods. Pretty slick. I can cut the rail at an angle and leave enough room for the fuel flow around the injector.

    I have added Mallory fuel rails and find that the Mallory rails and the stock distributor don't fit. The fuel rail on the driver side extends just enough that I can't put the distributor all the way into the base. The injector is so close to the end of the rail that I am not comfortable...

    Emissions test=Failed!! HELP!

    The issue is getting past emissions inspection. The 160* will help keep the chamber temps lower thereby reducing the NOx. It will not significantly affect HC or CO emmissions. You can put a 180* or 195* back after passing inspection and spend as much time as you want chasing other causes.

    Quick ? Red-line on 94-95 Cobra's

    Whoa Mootang...you must be thinking of the modular motors in 96 and up with a 7k red-line. Red-line on '94-'95 is 5800 as 2L8ULUZ2 noted above. The rev limiter kicked in about 6000 rpm.

    Try opening the throttle body a little. There is a set screw that allows some adjustment. I had a similar issue when I first bought the car (stock) and that solved it for me

    Anyone ever seen the samping on a stock 94-95 Cobra Cam

    Looking at my stock cam (95 Cobra), it's either IH27 or 127 with some incedental stamp marks. There are two vertical lines before the 1 that are deeper and a cross mark from the second line to the 1 that would make it an H. Using the magnifying glass it seems like the 127 is the correct stamp.
