Aftermarket Fuel Rails & Distributor Not Fitting

I have added Mallory fuel rails and find that the Mallory rails and the stock distributor don't fit. The fuel rail on the driver side extends just enough that I can't put the distributor all the way into the base. The injector is so close to the end of the rail that I am not comfortable cutting the rail. It's on the Cobra with the GT 40 lower. Anyone face this problem and how did you solve it?

i know its a common problem, unfortunately i cant tell u how to fix it. u might have to check out some different rails. i know bbk claims their rails fit with the stock distributor.

shave off some of the dizzy? I'm not sure about ur problem...but with my vortech fuel rails I had to shim some off the dizzy.

that was with a cobra intake.

Thanks for the input. I may try cutting the rail back some and use some Durafix. I was searching "aluminum welding" and ran across some aluminum brazing rods. Pretty slick. I can cut the rail at an angle and leave enough room for the fuel flow around the injector.
