    Rocker nuts keep breaking...HELP!!??

Thats strange. What length pushrods are you using? How many threads are the polylocks grabbing before you tighten the lock nut? I would assume that you have 3/8" studs. With that kind of RPM maybe you need to look into getting some 7/16th studs and rockers.

    REal quick Transmission Question

Pretty much everything made after 1985 was World Class. People often confuse the WC T5 with the Z-spec T5. They are not really the same thing though. Here's some more background info: http://www.allfordmustangs.com//Detailed/349.shtml

The older ones had individual flanges, newer ones are one piece. Not sure when they made the switch though

    Please recommend a good balancer

I have a Pro-Race SFI balancer. It's a nice piece, probably comparable to to the Ford Racing one. http://www.pro-race.com/prorace.htm

Quick head gasket question. Which way do they go?

Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure that 2002blgt is right, and the openings for the coolant passages go to the rear of the block. Here's a pic

Quick head gasket question. Which way do they go?

My Cometic head gaskets aren't labeled "front" like most head gaskets are, and I want to make sure I put them on the right way. I'm pretty sure I know how they go, but I want to double check. Anyone have a picture maybe?

how many quarts for the rearend?

Yeah, you only need on bottle of FM. You probably won't get all 2.75 qts in there. They usually only take a couple squirts from the third bottle before it's full

Thanks guys, the new cam is on the way. Kudos to Summit Racing, they immediately shipped me a new cam and sent UPS to pick up the old one from my house

    BBK Long tube clearance problems

Mine have plenty of clearance, I'm using poly mounts as well. Thats strange. Sometimes you can get a little extra clearance by loosening the steering column nuts under the dash, then you pull the steering wheel to the side and hold it while you tighten the bolts back up

    supercharger question part II

I wouldn't recommend the Powerdyne. Some guys like them, but for the most part they are trouble-prone. you would be well-served by the Vortech or Paxton, so take your pick

    Tranny Fluid Question

I use the Penzoil Syncromesh. It's about $6.25 for a quart at Autozone. It says right on it that it's for use in GM manual transmissions requiring GM part # 12345349

Where can I find an extended clutch fork for a lakewood bellhousing?

Yeah, D&D should have it. Astro Performance should have it as well.

Should I use this cam? Pics

That's kinda what I was thinking. It's frustrating though since it's brand new. I might go ahead and exchange it just to be safe

Should I use this cam? Pics

I just got my new cam today. I noticed it had a couple of very small nicks in the front cam journal. They seem to be below the surface and don't have any sharp edges. I'm a little hesitant to use this as it's going in a new motor. I'm sure I could exchange it without much problem, except for...

    supercharging/other changes question

Yeah, the 19lb injectors aren't ideal by any means, but you can get by with them on a bone stock 5.0 with just a blower if you use the FMU. The FMU increases fuel pressure. The 12:1 FMU that comes with the kit will add 12psi of fuel pressure for every lb of boost. This combined with...

    supercharging/other changes question

If your car is all stock and you want to add the S-trim you can get by with your stock injectors provided you use the supplied FMU. (fuel management unit) Eventually it's a good idea to add larger injectors and a properly calibrated MAF, and then you can ditch the FMU.

    TKO 500 syncro's bad?

Have you tried adjusting your clutch? You might want to try changing the fluid as well. The fluid tends to get a lot of metal in it during break-in

    which spark plugs?

Either Autolite 3925 or 3924. The 3924 is one heat range colder than stock. I think 24lb injectors would be a good idea with your combo
