My new overflow bottle looks huge....pics inside.

I just ordered it off Ebay and now I don't know how to get it in the car. I bought the car without it about 1 1/2 years ago. Now with the a/c installed I want to make sure I don't overheat the car. Check out these pics. This thing is HUGE. Is it the right size? The car has a Ford Racing...

Lets talk about a clutch install:

The a/c shop is actually the mechanic that I use for most anything I don't do. They kinda do it all. He "checked" it just by pushing the clutch in and adjusting the nut at the clutch fork. I called ford and got a price on a set and it would cost around $300...for stock. I called a few other...

Lets talk about a clutch install:

I just took the car to the mechanic to get the a/c converted to 134 from R12. While he did it they checked the clutch for me and informed me that I need a new one. Their price is $550 to install a stock clutch ($250 for parts). Its not bad but I think I'll just do it myself and save a couple...

Lets talk about a clutch install:

Thanks for the tips guys. Bluecobra, I don't think I'll put all my trust in your words of it being easy...you rebuilt your trac-lok. This is a job I've already deemed out of my hands.:D Easy for you must not be easy for me. About the King Cobra: My clutch is already hard...

Lets talk about a clutch install:

My clutch is slipping so I'm looking into replacing it. I've been reading up on it and have come down to a few questions: 1. How hard is it to change a clutch (especially with just one person)? I'll have two jacks (one for the engine and one for the transmission) and I've done my share of...

Painting interior - How many cans? (Hatchback)

I painted my hatch panels with the grey from 50resto. I only bought one can of grey and wished I had bought two. I was just refreshing the smoke grey that the car already has. If I had red interior I would definitely prime everything before I put anything else on it. You would want to make...

    SC + T5 + 400HP=?

Why don't you just buy a better tranny now (before the power). You're already having problems with the stock one...get rid of it. Then save your money and add the power adder. The peace of mind will be worth it.

    Do I really need this?

I would like to see that.

    Do I really need this?

Not trying to thread jack but....86bluecobra, did you rebuild the traclok with it still in the rear?

Rebuild Trac lok or buy new differential?

It seems as if rebuilding the trac lok is easy. What about pulling it out and putting it back in. Since it will already be open for gears (which I'm not installing) then the trac lok needs to be addressed. The problem is that I'm not going to the shop to get the trac lok and then give it back...

Rebuild Trac lok or buy new differential?

Well, I've decided to just save my money to buy an eaton. I plan on having the car forever and eventually supercharging it. Plus I don't feel like having the rear taken apart just to put it back at the same strength. I'll just sell one of my children on ebay. Well, probably not.

Rebuild Trac lok or buy new differential?

I won't be doing my gear install so I won't be pulling anything out of my rear (??). How long (generally) will a rebuilt trac lok hold up? What is the point of a new diff? Any difference between eaton and auburn?

Rebuild Trac lok or buy new differential?

The car is stock except for full exhaust. I'm going to be putting in 3.73 some time soon and I'm wondering about my Trac lok. I only get one mark when spinning the wheels but if I jack the car up and spin one wheel the other spins too. I'm assuming it needs a rebuild. Is it worth...

    Symptoms of a bad ground?

I've been having the same issue with my mustang. But when the click happens, all the power is gone (no lights or gauges). I just replaced my negative battery cable and grinded the connecting place on the block to shiny metal. After that I would sometimes turn the key and get 4 or 5 quick...

    fox door panels

You could help me out some. Memphis isn't that far from Birmingham....I've got family in Nashville. We'll meet there and you can do all the labor....for.....um.......the good of the mustang community!?

    fox door panels

Personally I dig the "no door panel" look: This is how I've been driving around for 3 months. I've got new ones from 50resto but (as state above) they are rather labor intensive. I have to get rivets for it (should have ordered the door panel kit) so I've just left the door panel...

    fox door panels

You could buy custom door panels on Ebay but they run around $300 bucks. Alan's look nice but I'm not going to try to put that kind of effort in mine. I'm just glad that my 88 doesn't come with map pockets!

Could this be a starter problem?

$36 bucks for a ford one. Its worth it to me.

Could this be a starter problem?

It is what I have. Where should I buy one? Ford?
