Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but are you saying that you gain negative camber on the outside wheel with body roll?

-2.53 degrees at 4 inches doesn't sound like much. What we have to clarify to all the readers is that the camber you have measured is camber gain in relation to the vehicle. The next thing we need to take into consideration is camber relative to the road. When the car goes around a corner...

Don't know what to make of that number. Is that how much camber gain there is with 1 inch of jounce? I was probably not very clear on what I was asking. What is the camber gain at 1", 2", 3" and at 4" of jounce. Camber gain is usually progressive, meaning there would be more camber gain...

Total Control Products, where to buy?

I heard from my source today, and they are still in business. They might behind, but they have not closed the doors. While my source is very reliable, I would prefer to hear from Lino, a representative of the company, to come out and give us a definitive answer. Even if they really are...

[ I interrupt your normal thread for this Hijack ] Look Howard, I have nothing against you. This is an internet forum, and emotions, tone & inflections in voice do not transfer well. I would put money on it that if we were face to face, there wouldn't be any of this perceived tension...

Wonder if Lino (Psydwaze) will see this and clarify what's going on.

First off, my Kitchen-benchracer is faster than your Kitchen-benchracer. :D The experiment you're giving me does not reflect the loads experienced by the export brace. If the load was perfectly vertical, it absolutely will bend. There's no argument there. However, the load on the export...

Obviously you don't read much of anything as my post said that the kits were originally designed for full frame cars. And who's the "unarmed" one now? You're the engineer. You're the one with over 50 years of experience. It must really chap your hide when someone questions your methods and...

Do we all need an engineering degree to ask a question? Should I ask for your permission first before speaking? Should everyone do that? You're the one with the credentials and experience, so bring the tech. If you think that the load on the export brace is only in a vertical plane, then we...

Gotcha. So if you don't like what people say, you're going to pick up your toys and leave the sandbox. :nonono: As I said, I would gladly concede that you are right if you can give me some data to support your side. Shouldn't 32 years as an engineer and "over 50 years of rodding and racing...

Where is it stated that it is? Ever read "Chassis Engineering" by Herb Adams? Some of the modeling he did with frames was very interesting. Everyone should read that book if they're considering any type of suspension modification. Where is it stated that it was ever designed for a unibody...

That's good info to know. Anyone know about the Heidts setup? Some camber is good, more is not necessarily better. The problem with a short control arm is the swing-arm length can be too short, causing the wheel movement to become erratic. At full jounce, you can end up producing too much...

And what is that crossmember attached to? The front frame rails, which are not adequate alone to support the front suspension of the car. Remeber, the MII kits were designed for full frame vehicles, not a unibody like the Mustang. The reinforcement plate for the frame rail that is supplied in...

You sure about that? Doesn't the MII kit eliminate the Export brace since it removes the shock towers? If that is the case, then yes, you are sacrificing strength as the Export brace, in addition to the inner fender panels are what help locate the front end.

    Cross-drilling for the street

No, that's done with. (See LanceMach's post) Also, try and find a race car with drilled rotors. You will see slotted rotors, but not very many that are cross drilled.

    "Gentlemen, statr your MOTORS!"

If there's any place that uses 'motor' for 'engine' it's in NASCAR. How many times have you ever heard a driver talk about the motor, as in "the motor blew." Granted, the younger guys say engine, but people like Jarrett, Marlin, Wallace, etc will interchange motor for engine at any time. The...

    Road course suspension upgrades?

Sounds like a nice setup. Would you happen to have any photos of the rear setup? I'd really like to check out the panhard bar and the srping loaded under-riders. Does the spring in the under-rider help with eliminating wheel hop under braking?

    Road course suspension upgrades?

Cool! Thanks Lino! Anyone have weights on the stock components? Not that I don't believe what Lino says about being heavier than some and lighter than others, but it would still be nice to see. This is a good example of what works for some and not for others. There are quite a few people who...
