    Test Drive from SVT??

The 03/04's selected for this that I read about had between 30-45 miles put on. This "Factory Test Drive" for QA happens to all cars coming off the line though, not just SVT's. U.M.

    Test Drive from SVT??

About one in 50 or so cars rolling off the assembly line get selected for extensive quality checks. My new Vette had an additional 40 miles on it when I picked it up at the FACTORY! They take it around a test facility, run it through its paces and then go over it with a fine tooth comb again...

    03/04 Eaton M112 to 99 Cobra

Most people find that unless they have a complete donor 03/04 Cobra engine the cost of assembling all the stock parts can often outweigh the cost of a complete aftermarket solution designed for your specific application. U.M.

    Re: The infamous "clunk"

An IRS equipped car inherently has more moving parts than a straight axle therefore more areas for driveline slack. I went from an '02 GT to an '03 Cobra and I actually took the new Cobra into the service dept. within the first week of ownership because I thought there was something wrong...

    Re: The infamous "clunk"

Yes, yes, and yes. The Terminator has some really sloppy, clunky, slacky, drivetrain components. U.M.

    Clicking/ticking noise when backing up?

Stock calipers on 03/04's are not Brembo's. Not sure what would be causing the clicking/ticking issue when backing up. U.M.

    Finally took the plunge

I'm aware of it and I've read about it, but have no firsthand knowledge about it. Don't you have to remove the blower and intake to install this? U.M.

    Finally took the plunge

Just for reference... I never had a problem with my Apten cooling mod. There were a few people who reported that the plastic "T" supplied with the kit would melt at extreme temps. My Apten mod was on the car for 30K miles without ever an issue. I will however tell you that when you tie the...

    Finally took the plunge

There are a couple different methods currently being utilized. All of these drivers side head cooling mods accomplish the same thing, they just go about it in a different way. You see in stock form the coolant has nowhere to go on the drivers side head. The easiest and earliest fix was to pop...

    Finally took the plunge

The 03/04 Cobra suffers from a poorly designed cooling solution for the drivers side head. This allows cylinders 7 & 8 to run hotter than the rest. It is a good idea to install any one of the different cooling mod solutions that are currently available to combat this. U.M.

Best Cold Air Intake for 03-04 Cobra?

I preferred the K&N FIPK solely because it was a strait through design and was C.A.R.B. certified, which none of the other CAI's listed thus far are. U.M.

Can you imagine what the entry speed into the corners at Talladega would be without the restrictor plates!?!? Last time this was tested was by Rusty Wallace in a pre-cot cup car a fews years ago. I believe he was at 235MPH at the end of the front straight!!!! U.M.

That whole post finish line ordeal had me scratchin' my head at first too! See I didn't know this Brad Keselowski was an Earnhardt protégé and his car was pretty much 100% Hendrick so when Dale Jr. came side-by-side with Brad after they crossed the finish line I thought Dale was cursing at the...

    Ford's SVT Raptor?

Jr. had a great run at the Nationwide race. Dumb ass missed his pit YET ONCE AGAIN THOUGH! WTF DALE, REALLY? :nonono: Went a lap down but was able to make it back up and battled for the lead with Neuman most of the day. Dale eventually finished 5th cause he had to back off when Neuman...

I used Nitto's DR's on my Cobra and they provided good traction, but longevity was an issue... Only about 10,000 miles per set before replacement was necessary... U.M.
