Official 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Thread

I was at the Talladega race. We had the best RV spot in the infield. Inbetween turn 3 @4 right up against the infield fence. The wreck on lap 7 in turn 3 happened right in front of us. Had a great time. The infield at Talladega is like Mardi Gra. Saw Robby Gordon driving around in a golf cart in the infield. Jack Rousch was no more than 5ft. from me. Believe it or not he was out walking around on his own amongst the 10's of thousands of partiers on Talladega Blvd. in the infield. At first I thought it was just a look-a-like, but it was really him. Saw Bobby and Donny Allison at the Talladega museum. Also saw Stan Barrett at the museum who set the world speed record at 750mph. I'll never see that many famous people in one weekend ever again.

the 48 team showed why they are 3 time defending cup champions today :nice:

Do you think Jr's finish was a fluke or is he going to improve with a new crew chief?

What's up with Cousin Carl? He was supposed to be a major contender this year!

It was nice to hear all the cheer's for KyBu when he had the vibration and had to pit under green. Even his #1 cheerleader (Darrel Waltrip) couldn't come up with a good excuse for that :D

Who?

I'm hoping Carl is sandbagging.

Think they're trying to tell Kyle something?

LEBANON, Tenn. -- Kyle Busch said he thought he was like Ozzy Osbourne after winning Saturday night's Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway.

He may have been more like The Who's Pete Townsend when he slammed the special trophy the track gives to race winners, a Sam Bass-designed Gibson Les Paul guitar (watch video).

Kyle Bush is a punk.

No disrespect my ass. He's just a obnoxious, ungrateful jerk.

Edwards is leading :nice:

JR is being his typical self..26th place :rlaugh:.

Changed teams, changed crew chiefs....same results. hummmmm dare say that its actually the driver that SUCKS....ohh noes!!!

what did they have, 4 cautions? that was pretty good considering 2 were in the first 12 laps. It was nice to see a race not dictated by pitstops under caution, but real time strategy and green flag pitstops :nice:

48 got screwed on that one caution where ****ing NASCAR threw the flag as he was approaching the line... for a lame debris caution. Even the broadcasters didn't know that it had happened or what it was for :notnice:

what did you think about TNT's coverage? I liked the way they would follow the cars after they passed, when they were using the cameras on the fence. It was cool to see them coming and going and all the heat off the track after they passed.

I like any stations coverage over the fox crew. They can shove that Hollywood hotel up their ass. The only thing I dont like about TNT is Kyle Petty just b/c he does not deserve to be there. The broadcast positions are usually reserved for former GOOD drivers. The only reason he was given that job is b/c of his last name. Any other driver w/ his career record on the track would not even be considered to be part of a broadcast
