Mach 1 suspension VS Cobra suspension

It looks like the solid to me. Either the tech didn't know what he was talking about or I miss understood something. Thanks for the picture COramprat, that made it really easy to tell which I had.

Mach 1 suspension VS Cobra suspension

I figure I will get flamed for asking this but is there an easy way to tell by looking if a car has a Mach 1's suspension or a Cobra's suspension? Apparently just looking to see which the car is isn't enough as I was informed today while getting some brake work done that my Mach 1 has Cobra...

    Service Engine Soon

I had the same idea that it might be gas so I ran it till it was below an 8th of a tank then filled up (premium) at a station that I trusted. Since making that post I've probably driven another 20 miles or so without it coming on. I guess it just wanted to give me a scare after getting it paid...

    Service Engine Soon

The service engine light on my 2004 Mach 1 came on and stayed on for a while but went off before I could get it looked at. Should I still take it in to get tested or not worry about it unless the light comes back on? The car is running fine and doesn't seem to have any problems.

    Help me fill this out

I'm under INTENSE pressure to submit a bracket at work. I know how a bracket works but I don't know anything about these teams (I had to ask what sport this was for. I only knew it wasn't football because Indianapolis just lost the Super Bowel). So, if someone wants to help me pick the teams...

Mach 1 making a whistling sound when it is cold. Is this normal?

It doesn't bother me too much as long as nothing is wrong and there is no damage. The car doesn't seem to perform any differently, just noisier.

Mach 1 making a whistling sound when it is cold. Is this normal?

The whistle is quite loud and can stick around for a while. It whistles the most during acceleration but will do it while idling too. It can do it when it is as low as 50 degrees outside and gets louder the colder it is. Also, while idling pushing on the break changes how it sounds. Is this...

Should I have my tires Siped?

I just got new tires at a Discount Tire Co and they were trying to get me to get these things added to them called Sipers. I've never heard of them before but they said that they greatly increase traction. With winter coming up it sounded tempting but I didn't know if it was worth the money...

Should an '04 Mach 1's brakes hiss when stopping hard?

I checked the paperwork and they did call it a 4 Wheel Alignment. Thanks for all the help and information! I feel a lot better driving it now.

Should an '04 Mach 1's brakes hiss when stopping hard?

The drivers side rear wheel was out of alignment. It was visibly causing the tire to wear on the edge. I have doubt at all about this as the damage was visible. After the alignment and new tires it has stopped doing that. Maybe "alignment" isn't the best word for whatever they did to the...

Should an '04 Mach 1's brakes hiss when stopping hard?

Ok, thanks for the replies! It makes me feel better if I know this is common and I am not going to go sliding into a semi! ;)

Should an '04 Mach 1's brakes hiss when stopping hard?

Long story made short: I got new tires and they told me that my break pads were good but I needed an alignment. I took it to the dealership I got it from and they did the alignment, both front and rear wheels. Short time later while stopping I hear this hissing sound. It only did it while...

    what about Ky?......

We use to keep all the Kentuckians quarantined in their own area but even then the smell got to be too strong so we had to ban them all. Just kidding, welcome to Stangnet!

Anyway to keep my car from sliding down icy hills?

Come to think of it I haven't put the salt bags back in the car yet this year :bang: That might help... I'll look into doing that. Thanks! I've been looking at some used Subarus that are in the area. There a '97 Outback Wagon for $3500 with 108,000 miles on it. I'm wondering if it would...

Anyway to keep my car from sliding down icy hills?

Yep. The tires weren't spinning, I was just sliding. It wasn't even a steep hill either.

Anyway to keep my car from sliding down icy hills?

I full expect to get flamed for this but that's fine as long as you post something useful too. This is the first time I've had this problem with this Mustang, or any previous one, but twice today I've stopped on an ice/snow covered hill and the car started sliding on me. The first time it...
