    Who is considered the best?

Exactly, my opinion too! It is all in the small little details, like bottlefed's CC plates or the radio bezel's that He and Mansonozz have. Wires and brake lines hidden or the small touches of paint on a highly polished engine, such as Almost's GT40 intake. To me that's what makes these...

Upper Strut mounts.Where can I get these? ( Photo ) ....PITA this is !!

Well first off, you might want to go and get a Haynes or Clinton manual so you have a better understanding of what the parts are, it will help and describe the proper way to remove and replace things. The plate you are talking about is acttually the camber caster plate bottom and does not need...

    window tinting questions. *iwashmycar welcome*

As glowstang93 stated the above is wrong! The tint can be put on either way, but is very time consuming to do the individual strips, plus look at how many more straight lines have to be bladed to do that. With a back glass that is 5% black even the smallest inconsistency will be noticed...

    Need some help...

I don't know much about the Lighting MAF but you might try this place for the adapter http://www.kustomz.com/components.html but not sure if they make one quite that big.

    Body work Newbie

As far as sanding down to metal some like to just use some 60, 80 or 100 first and go down to the metal in gradual steps to protect the metal from to many sanding marks. Then I know others that just go at it with a heavy grit like 40 and go straight to the metal. I prefer using the 80 method...

    rough idle after rebuild

You said the exhaust isn't hooked up. Do you have the O2 sensors on at least? Just checking. And are you sure that the distributor was stabbed correctly. Fairly obvious questions, but just doing a double check.

Need Help ! Trick flow top end kit problems

Most people do not have them mounted anymore. They will stay in place without the mount, just the clamps hold it.

Need Help ! Trick flow top end kit problems

Clocking the mass air refers to loosening the clamps and rotating it clockwise or counter-clockwise. Don't actually remove it just turn it while still attached. Do it in small steps let it set at idle and you will be able to tell if it has helped or hurt, if it hurts the idle trying going the...

Need Help ! Trick flow top end kit problems

Have you pulled codes? That is the first thing you need to do! I would also question the Mass air, is it more for a supercharged setup, I am not familiar with the votec Mass air. Could also be a vacuum leak, have you checked manifold vacuum? Just some places to start!

Got Cam Specs now I have questions! Engine Builders!

Crane told me that they don't rebuild the rockers anymore. They are a "race" rocker I don't understand why not, seems that would be common practice. No this is the one that was in the motor since I have had it! I have spent hours on the phone over the last 2 weeks with Crane trying to...

Got Cam Specs now I have questions! Engine Builders!

Hey David! I know I could spend the money and have a custom cam done and the money is really not the question for me at the moment. I was just wondering what people thought about the cam I have now, and how it matched with my combo. The cam looks great no noticable wearing or groove marks...

Got Cam Specs now I have questions! Engine Builders!

So after much deliberation with Crane Cams I finnally know what my cam is and all the specs. Now I have questions about what is possible to do with it? First off, as some already know I am having the motor completly gone through to find definite answers as to what is in the motor as the...

Who has agreed value or collector insurance on a Fox body?

I just switched to them about a month ago and my policy is the same $8000 for $163 a year. I was paying $150 every three months with Shelter Insurance. They seem like a good company. I tried Hargerty and they wouldn't insure it because it is not 20years old and it is modified. If it were...

    Anyone have powder coating experience?

Go to Eastwoodco.com and look at their forums. They have a powerdcoating forum and guys with tons of info on there. I have done some small projects myself and it can be addicting just like metal polishing. Heat the part in the oven before coating it and it will help with the orange peel...

    for those who have subs....

I think 1 JL will work fine for you as long as the encloser is bulid and sealed correctly. A properly bulit and sealed encloser can make a bad sub sound good. JL makes some of the best sounding subs in my opinion, but they are very picky about a correct encloser. Pay close attention to inside...

    Mig welder help!!!

If you are just starting out and looking to learn to weld I would go with one that is a little more forgiving, has decent adjustability, and is has more capacity than you will use to start out with. Because as you learn more you will want to do bigger jobs. For working on you car at home a...
