So after much deliberation with Crane Cams I finnally know what my cam is and all the specs. Now I have questions about what is possible to do with it?
First off, as some already know I am having the motor completly gone through to find definite answers as to what is in the motor as the lower end was like this when I bought it way back in 1993. The car is most for show and cruises, but I would like to be able to take it to the track once a year and run a decent number. I have ran in the high 12's in it before just to give you a base. It did have a supercharger when I bought it, but something wasn't right about it and I sold that.
I am having the heads gone through as well as the lower end, still keeping it at 30 over, just freshening up.
So do you think this cam is decent and could a power adder be put on in the future and be safe, I am thinking turbo or NOS, but it is in the future. From what I know about the cam it is good for torque, but not huge power. It has always made good power from 1000 to 5000.
The cam is 216 intake and exhaust and lobe seperation is 111. Here is the rest of the specs sheet. Suggestions, comments, should I change to something else.
