How quick can a basic bolt on GT run 0-60? I was thinking under 5.0 seconds.

it depends on what magazine you find that from. I have seen times from 5.4 to 6.0. the majority i have seen say 5.7 though.

its hard to get a definite 0-60 time because you have to launch it the same every time thats why different magazines have different times. its really tough to get a true 0-60 too many factors. I would say a bolt on GT is going to run around 5.2 to 5.5. u wont get under 5 seconds unless you are launching on slicks.

You can ESTIMATE it based on 1/8th mile times. If your mph and ET are well matched, it's probably reasonably accurate: http://www.wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php

That shows my 97 4.6 to have a 0-60 of 5.3 seconds and the 88 2.3 to be 4.3s.

Getting under the 5 second mark shouldnt be too bad.

There was an issue of Car & Driver I beleive (maybe Motortrend...) that took a 99 GT to 60 in 5.1 seconds, dead flippin stock.

My car ran 0-60mph in 5.22 seconds 100% bone stock (exhaust, intake, tires, EVERYTHING stock). Verified by G-tech, video, and stop watch.

Haha and by that calculator I do 0-60mph in 2.36 seconds on the bike

A bike is probably one of those cases where the mph doesn't match the ET very well... Something about not being in the power band when you launch and trying to keep the nose on the ground. Reality might be close to 3.0 seconds, which is still stupid fast.

yea my bike is rated 0-60 in 2.8. but i also have lowering straps to keep the front on the ground. otherwise the wheel comes up just going close to wot in first. just rollin on the throttle she stands lol. but my 60' is also a 1.7 on stock swingarm so im launching pretty hard with it.

I ran a 0-60 of 5.67s with a 2.1 60 ft on the street. Mods were K&N w/o air silencer, and a Catted MAC Prochamber.

When I get new tires (June), I could probably run a 2.0 on the street, and I could probably manage a sub 5.5 with practice.

Everything I've seen said 5.4 or 5.5 stock. My Gtech got 5.4 on mine with nitto street tires, and flowmasters, K&N, everything else stock.
