Ok so my 97 3.8L engine is getting a little old and i want to drop in a 01-03 3.8L. I know the motor mounts are different but what else would I have to change to put in the 01-03 3.8? Or is this even possible without and MAJOR work? Someone must have done this before...Please help!
Actually the motor mounts are the same from 96-04.
The swap isn't too bad I did it 3 years ago. If you do the entire engine it would be slightly easier. There are a few issues that need to be resolved, and all worth it to me. Even better would be trying to find a 4.2 from an e-150 or f-150.
