Hey guys I bought an 01 Cobra about 2 months ago. It has recently developed an Engine ticking sound coming from what appears to be beneath the passenger side valve cover. I recently replaced all the lash adjustors, along with the four timing chains, tensioners, and chain guides. Unfortunately, the tick is hanging around. It only does it once the engine gets warm, there is no sound on initial start up while the engine is cool. It also appears to quite down once i put the car in gear and actually put a load on the tires, but that could just be because i am in the car.
The guy i bought the car from told me he had to replace the head gasket, and also replaced the oil cooler. He had just put a new transmission in it, i don't think this would have anything to do with the noise but just throwing it out there. I figured i would come and ask for any help some of you seasoned veterans might be able to provide me. I will try posting a video this weekend.
