First time, and very proud owner of a 02 V6 Stang.
Car gave a code P0116 something about engine coolant temperature sensor/cylinder head temp sensor
Anyways, bought the 20$ part and I cant seem to find where it is located. Can someone go out to their stang and give me a picture of where this **** goes?
I've read that 94-01 had it one place, 02+ moved it to another spot - also read there are 2 sensors?
Also got a couple of general questiosn
Car temp guage shows overheat and low speeds 40 and below, (after it gets warmed up all the way) with fan engaged ac on and it'll blow hot air, but after I speed up to highway speeds guage will drop to normal operating temp and AC will blow ice bricks. I've done all tests for head gasket failure, no smoke, sweet smells, radiator bubbling, milky oil, comp test. I've also gotten out and felt the engine after it shows overheat, It doesnt feel different no overunning overflow
Do I have a stuck T-Stat? Radiator problems? Can a bad ECT/CHT give me a false overheat and make my car think it's overheating when it's not?
