As I was driving home last night my wife said, "My foot is getting wet." I stopped the car and sure enough water was coming out from underneath the dash. It would stop leaking out when I turned the A/C off. After further investigation this morning I found that it leaks water under the dash when the blower fan is on whether it is the a/c or not and I cannot figure out where it's coming from. It's just pure water! Not Coolant and not a/c refrigerant. That rules out the possibility that it is the condenser and the heater core so what could it possibly be? I thought that it may be the hose the lets the condensation leak to the outside of the vehicle but where is that hose located, and why would it be coming from the edges of the blower motor housing? Any ideas?

Well, I know that the condensation hose drips on my pass. side header which is by the blower motor I guess. I've never heard of one leaking to the inside of the car though.

You don't have a warranty left?

Mine does the same thing. I'm pretty sure it is just condensation.

it drips a lot, to the point that if I drove the car for an hour with the a/c the floor board would have aboue 1/4" of standing water. I have determined that it is the condensation hose because it doesn't leak onto the ground. I just need to figure out how to get at it....

I bet the drain hose is clogged so the water is just backing up. It's gotta go somewhere.

BTW - Soak up the moisture (if there were "puddles" of water) from the damp carpet to prevent any chance of mold growing...it's nasty stuff!

The last time I had to unclog one I used a coat hanger.

Old thread.

Is there a diagram that shows the common hoses that get clogged, and other drainage hoses that need to be checked from time to time?

I have an 02 vert with water coming in when it rains.

In this case check for debris under the cowling (under the wipers). If you have a bunch of leaves and other crap in there the water could fill up in there and go into your air intake for your ventilation system.
