I replaced the radiator, heater core (ugh) and coolant hoses in my 86 GT. Went to cycle water and cleaner through because the coolant was *quite* rusty when I drained it, and immediately after starting up had a pretty steady flow coming from the weep hole on the water pump and didn’t before. So, I bought a new water pump, went to move the car over in the garage (car ran for about 5 minutes) and had no leak.
Is intermittent leaking from the weep hole a thing?
I’m going to replace the water pump anyways and hopefully not break any bolts off in the block, but I was just curious why I would have a weep hole leak and then not. (And yes, there’s still water in the car, it didn’t all leak out the first time)
