Hey Guys... I was maybe thinking about trading in my 02 GT for a Cobra. How is everyone's insurance on these cars for full coverage? One thing I hate about Jersey is the insurance rates!

I switched to Geico when I traded my 99 GT for the Cobra. My rates stayed about the same. As long as your record is good, I don't see that it will make that big a difference. Dont' know about Jersey though.

Insurance

I am 32 years old and in NYC it would cost $3,100 per year. My 2004 BMW 330i only costs $1,900. Mach 1 is $2,800, GT is $2,500. Biiiiig difference...

My insurance went down going from 02 GT to 03 Cobra with progressive. I'm at $880/6 months right now.

I'm 23 an that's still pretty high considering I went up to 1k deductibles and only 50/100/15 coverage. I just cant justify low deductible and super high coverage for the price increase.

if i had kept my 21st century coverage when i got my cobra i'd be paying 3k a year for full coverage, with my GT it was about 2400 a year.

But I switched to Wawanesa and now pay 1500 A YEAR for my Cobra. needless to say thats 1500 in mod money i now have.

My insurance went up $32 a month. I have Progressive. Paying about $1800
a year. I thought for sure I was going to be paying a ton. You should talk to
your insurance agent and find out what it will cost you before you go out and buy one.

Try American Family... with my 03 cobra, 02 explorer, and my house, I pay $132 per month, I am happy

(thats everything together, so I think the cobra would be about $100 of that

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

I pay about 500 a month for the car, and then about 350 a month for insurance.....

HA

Geico wont even insure cars in NJ!

Governor McGreedy says hes bringing more insurance companies in but they are small companies that are coming here because they know they can get away with raping us on insurqance rates.... MCGREEDYS reason/excuse for this and every problem in NJ.....URBAN SPRAWL....of course he's not doing anything from keeping 20 businesses opening up in a 1 mile radius along side rt 287 so that traffic comes to a stand still during the commute....besides what does he care...he flys around in his helicopter or in his limo on our tax dollars.....

ok....now that I got that over with.....

I use State Farm, but I insure my Volvo as my daily driver and the Mustang as a recreational vehicle...

im only supposed to put a couple thousand miles on it a year oops.....I barely drive it and at the track they arent going to cover me anyway.....

I also signed away my right to sue!!!! (that will make your rates come down)

I pay 190 a month for both cars....that was with no points I took the triple A Safe Drivers Course and it went down to 175 a month....

but State Farm finally found out about my 5 pt ticket from July....actully got the ticket in May 03 so now Ill be going up to around 210 a month including my AAA discount......

Scary thing was they said that if the pts were applied to the mustang my insurance would go up $1700 more every six months but that it should be applied to my daily driver the Volvo so my insurance will only go up $200 every six months....

Now IM racing to get my car payed off completely so I can get minimal insurance or even take it off insurance and buy a nice F 250 to tow my car to the track!

I just got a quote from Allstate and they actually really have good rates for NJ! Hopefully I'll buy one of these amazing cars! McGREEDY sucks!
