I was wondering if I could get some help from you newer cobra onwers. I have a 02 and hate the stock leather seats. The seats just dont hold you in position when taking corners. I was looking at after market seats but the good ones are really expensive. I have a chance to get 03 SVT cobra seats for a pretty good price. Do they hold you in place in corners? Are the side bolsters large enough so you dont move around and are the bolsters adjustable? Thanks for your help.

They hold you real well. You can actually adjust air pressure in the cushion portions that grab your legs and upper back to squeeze or loosen those parts of your body in contact with the seat.

How tall are you and how much do you weight? Reason I ask is because as long as your ass fits between the bolsters you've got nothing to worry about, they can be snugged up tight and hold pretty well, but if you got the wide load going on you may not get the squeeze you require....

When I first picked up my Cobra, the seats were so tight I was uncomfortable. I am 6'1" and weigh about 250. Then a couple days in my older son wanted to know what the extra buttons were for. Long story short, I have to drive with all the air out of both bottom and side to fit, but it holds me well. Any bigger than me and they will not be comfortable. If your not bigger than me, I'd grab them up. Very nice seats.

Simmer down now guys...

...and just for the record there were some '02 Cobra's made, but they were all for export and went to Australia. They were just like the '01 models.

I think they are sweet. of course this is coming from a guy who just bought an 04 Cobra last week.

after driving around in 03 GT seats the last 2 1/2 yrs. They are like a godsend. Those GT seatbacks are crap, you slide right off the Ford pleather while not even "sport" driving.

But yeah, like UM says. If you are a real big guy, it just aint happenin.

I have a co-worker who is Samoan. Needless to say, I would like to take him for a spin in the Cobra to show off, but there is no way he would fit.
