I would drive it and see how the clutch is holding up. If it drives good and there are no visible leaks, I might consider it. Now if you're going to run it hard, I might find something with a little less miles. Bet you need to be very nice to that car. Hard driving might spell the end of the old girl. Nice easy consistent driving and that car may last you a while.

On the other hand, theres parts a plenty for these things. If it breaks, they're easy to fix.

Very very clean, I agree with Mattstang04 though, if you are planning on driving it aggressively things may start to go. The price isn't bad, quick look on Autotrader has most going for around $8-10k with approximately 100k miles. Don't forget to CarFax it!

Just left a deposit I'm picking the car up on Wed! Anyway drove it again noticed one slight problem the battery light comes on after startup for about half a minute to a minute or so then goes out the gauge says its charging more then fine and the battery is basicaly new his mechanic checked the alternator while i was there and its fine which leads me to believe it might be the sensor!

Congrats. Looks like a nice car. Depending on how old the alternator is, might want to swap it out just to be safe. But the car looks very clean. Should be a fun ride.

Good looking car. They can run forever with the proper maintenance. I had an '01 GT that I sold with 235,000.

Thanks all! picking it up Wednesday! Just bought Motorcraft 5w 20 synthetic blend oil and a MC 820s filter to do a oil change but now i might change my mind and go with either Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinum high mileage 5w 20!still trying to decide.

I've run Motorcraft 5w20 in every mustang I've owned. It's always kept the engines running fine.

+1 to that. I've got 177K on my 2003 and still running strong. Oil changed with Motorcraft synth blend 5W20, Motorcraft filter...only have had to replace the intake manifold, clutch, water pump, and radiator. I've had it since new and it was my DD for the first 11 years. It still does to a degree, but I am a bit more selective about when to drive it now that I have an Explorer as well. The Mustang only sees the road on sunny, clear days now.

That mileage is nothing. Seems like a great deal if everything mechanically checks out!

Well problem #1 has appeared today i posted it in the tech thread the light on the trac control stays on constantly and the abs light doesn't come on at all not even when you start the car like it should them go off! Think its a abs issue!
