04 gt clutch price & installation

my friend has an 04 gt and the ford dealership told me $800 for the clutch kit and the installation. does the price not seem a little bit rediculous? i know installing a new clutch is a bet of work, but dont $800 seem a little bit far fetched??

I don't its that out of line. $600 might be closer to reason, but dealership prices are always higher.

if he is mechanically decent, its not that hard to do it urself on pair of jackstand(or ramp in mycase), especially if he doesn't have LT.

But i think $650~$750 was what i was quoted when I looked.
Ended up doing it myself, and cost me whatever clutch kit was and reserface flywheel was...

no he dont work on cars....car is bone stock i would offer to help him out but im up at school i guess ill just tell him to avoid the dealer

That's pretty good. My dealer quoted me $2,000

We get about 6 hours to install them at $97 per hour.. if it has longtubes thats extra.
