I just bought an 04 gt. It has off road x pipe so the check engine light is on. I ordered mil eliminators but noticed the rear o2 sensors are trashed, wires broken, plugs been dragged on the ground many miles. My question is do i need to buy new o2 sensors just so i can delete them? Leave em unhooked? Or find some junk ones to put in there?
Thanks

You still need functioning O2 sensors for the car to run properly on a stock ECU setup.

Rear Motorcrafts look to be about $35 each. Cheaper than getting a tune to turn them off.

Don't be surprised if the MIL's don't work for you. Why? Because the later model year cars have a "special" subroutine that runs periodically check for functioning rear O2 sensors. The PCM will deliberately create a misfire for the specific purpose of defeating MIL's. That's why many web sites have upper limits on the model year coverage.
