Start by having the alternator tested for excessive AC ripple (bad diode). Almost all auto parts store will do the test for free.
Why is this important? Because excessive AC ripple can cause a false cam related DTC. A cam sensor signal problem can cause excessive fuel to be dumped into the intake. What is one of the symptoms if too much fuel is dumped into the intake?
