I have an 03 that made 490hp and 520ft lbs all wwith SLP pulley headers x-pipe cat back and a tune.

Where did you get SLP headers and X-pipe for an 03/04 cobra. I called SLP and they said that those were still in development.

the headers will be available soon from slp for an 03/04. They are in the final stages of prototyping. Then, they will be followed by the 99/01 headers a bit after that, but they are coming, so keep waiting if you want really good headers.

My car is the one they used to prototype and build the setup, and those numbers were on a superflow wyndyn. I have a very good friend that works there called me one day and asked if my car was available obviously it was. And those are rear wheel numbers!

Okay, let me get this right.... you made 490 RWHP on a SuperFlow dyno with nothing more than a SLP pulley, headers, x-pipe, cat back, and a tune.

I thought Vic was laughing at me... Can we see the dyno sheets please.

U.M.

No I'm lying. Why the heck would I post that I have nothing to gain the guy asked how to make 500hp at the rear wheels and I posted what my car made. I'm sorry your skeptical, I was there when they ran it on the dyno I saw the numbers myself. Unfortunatley the package has not yet been released and they asked me not to show the dyno sheets and out of respect to my good friend who works there I will honor his request. SLP is getting ready to do a release on the package soon and all that info will be out there for the public and then you will see. I do have the dyno sheet when it was tested with headers x-pipe and cat back with a tune and the car made 446hp and 437 ft lbs with the stock pulley! The car made 385hp and 398ft lbs bone stock. With headers and the full exaust system without the beta tune it made 430hp and 420ft lbs.

Bastages!!! Well I will be pleased if I can run mid 12s with 330/330 NA and then pro charger her or 150 wet shot to go low 11s. I might get a baseline dyno tomorrow to see what she is pulling stock. I would like to be surprised...pleasantly ;)

When did I accuse you of lying & where did you get the idea I was skeptical?

For the record... All I did was ask for clarification on the exact list of mods you had or currently have. 490RWHP is outstanding, and you were able to get 446RWHP with the stock pulley? You know that's the highest stock pulley RWHP I've ever seen! On top of this the numbers were derived from a SuperFlow dyno session, not the standard Dynojet. WOW! :nice:

I just wanted to verify your mods because you just put Vic's tune and combo to shame! Do you think those SLP exhaust components are worth all that extra HP? How do you get all that power without a CAI? I definitely want to know more about your car, it's tune, and anything else you can divulge. Do you have the dyno sheets for the stock pulley runs by chance?

Hey Vic you need to do some espionage and get a copy of fastcoupe68's tune! He's got yo butt whipped big time!

U.M.

I have a dynosheet that has an overlay of all three dyno runs 1 bone stock 2 headers x-pipe catback 3 all previous with their tune. If you could give me some instructions on how to scan this thing and load it up I will. I've only had this computer for a very short time and just learning the basics any help would be appreciated and then you can see the results. Also I dont know if they used their own CAI but I did Install a K@n filter and took off the silencer. I'll ask my friend if they did in fact use their CAI I would think they did Because they were testing their whole system. Also I apologize if I took your reply the wrong way. I just happen to get alot of skepticism from everyone that have done mods and then here I come with these numbers and most people are like Holy crap!!! The only thing I can say Is that SLP is no Joke! They obviosly have a bunch of techs there that know their stuff and I just got lucky enough to have my car be their little experimental toy. To add a little more fuel to the fire I was told that they were still tweaking their tune and more Power could be obtained. I hope so.

I highly doubt SLP is going to be a new revolution in the 03/04 Cobra aftermarket. If anybody knows 4V engines it PHP and and now JDM. SLP hasn't been around them long enough to come out with bolt-on's that are significantly better. SLP may make a good header but I doubt it will be significantly higher than any other header we've seen dynoed including Kooks, BBK's and JBA's. "Aint happenin". Your car would make about the same power with equal mods of other brands and tunes on a Dynojet.

There are getting to be too many types of chassis dynos. The conversion factor on the Superflow has to be lower than a Dynojet or your numbers are uncorrected or STD. The vast majority of all 03's are all with 10 HP with equal mods.

For the record my car makes 503 rwhp SAE and 550 rwt on a Dynojet with full exhaust, 18 psi, JDM tune and ice in a custon I/C chiller on the stock unported Eaton. Without ice, it makes 480 rwhp SAE.

Sorry Yellow horse but the numbers are SAE. Not to get into a who is better match. SLP has been around alot longer than either one of those companys. and yes they were a GM specialty shop but their products on brand x speek for themselves.
