seriously i guess ford got a clue looks like they used exhaust clamps................ doesnt look like ti will be to hard to take off........also IMO the exahust would be less restrictive with the muffs back there because the exhaust is at full force when it reaches the back so you get louder sound from ford POS mufflers............Defleshed said:is that only two cats i see?
SVTdriver said:They are more concerned with sound. Mainly because from what I have seen. You don't get all that much difference in performance anymore. So you go for sound.

I choose an exhaust set up for sound. There isn't much difference in performance between H/X Pipe and muffler combos.
RICKS said:I hear you there. I left the exhaust on my Lightning stock, because everywhere I checked I found that the aftermarket exhaust kits offered negligible gains (unless you're doing freakishly advanced modding on the motor) and alot of extra noise. Lightnings with aftermarket exhaust sound just like an old beat up Chevy mud truck with straight pipes. Yuck. I think on the '05 Mustang though, since you can see them when you're driving behind the car, polished stainless mufflers will be popular for flash-upscale-factor.
