When I am in 3 at take off, it revs up a bit- then has sort of a hesitated slip feel to it. I drive around in D in town- but is this normal? Doesn't matter if Traction control is on or off. Any ideas?
Yeah, when in town I either manually shift - 1,2,3 or D with O/D off. What you are feeling is the converter slipping, it's not hurting anything. Solution - Don't start in 3.

What's different about the Stang's auto trans from any other trans I have owened before, is that 3 is just 3, not 1 through 3. Trying to start in 3 is like trying to start a manual in 3rd. I suspect that you are used to cars that shift 1 trough 3rd, when in 3rd. Not sure why ford did this, but don't start out in 3rd. Best, L.L.
Yup, I am definitely getting on the phone with Emerald and TCI to see what rear gear and TC will be the best for long life with a supercharger and not fastest time down the strip.
