I have a 05 GT with a 4.6 and a 5 speed transmisson, there is a sensor on the transmisson could someone tell me what this sensor is and also where could I get a pigtail for this sensor? Dealer wants to sell me a complete wiring harness but all I need is the one pigtail..

One is the reverse light switch and the other is the output shaft speed sensor (for speedo). You can get just the pigtails from the dealer, solder and heat shrink tube the connection. You'll need a good Ford parts guy because a lot of them don't know about this, but I've bought them for an '07 car that I swapped from auto to manual tranny.

The parts guy needs a wiring diagram manual (service dept has it) so he can see an actual black and white drawing of the connector.
