How big is the risk of running a .060 over bore? Anyone running a .060 over block on a daily driver?

Huge risk and not worth it with all the cheap 5.0 cores For Sale. At .040 I have seen hot spots in the cylinders and cracking in the center of a cylinder.

Have the block sonic checked, most of the NMRA P/S combos are all .060" overbore and have no issues. A buddy of mine retired an older PS combo was to a buddies street car and he has no issues at all. It really depends on the block and wall thickness.

If you have a block that has a lot of taper I would look into finding a new block, you have more piston choices at .030 and .040 over.
