I see complete kits for tranny fluid change kits. Is the v6 auto and gt auto use the same tranny filter, pan gasket, and fluid capacity. When I click on these offers they state GT. None for the v6. Please help I thought the granny's were the same!?!
Several years ago, I had a girlfriend with an S-10 truck. She asked me to change her transmission fluid and filter, I said ok . Talk about a 'big' mess . I told myself, I'll never do that again. When the time came for me to have my transmission fluid and filter change on my 2011 v6 Mustang, I had my local Ford dealer do it . This was done a few years ago and it cost something like $197, well worth it in my opinion. Call different Ford dealers on the price, some charge more money than others. I got to see the transmission pan before they cleaned it up, it wasn't all that bad but at least they let me see it They put the pan and new filter back together and did a low pressure flush of all the transmission fluid.
