Are the HID’s on the 08 true HID or half-HID. It is my understand that some companies have HID’s for low beams and halogens for high beam. Do the new 08’s have hid on both high and low beams.
It's HIDs for both. The HIDs put out a wonderful bright light, but I wouldn't say they're $525 better... IMHO you could spend that money for a more useful option.

Why would you not want the best lights possible? For me lights rank up there with good brakes because I would like to think I could get out of trouble as fast as I got into it.
I am very happy with my HIDs. They are a big difference from regular lights, but not as good as I was expecting compared to my mom's Audi. The annoying thing about the HIDs is that the fog lights are still yellowish.
