1/4 mile times & car lbs

went to the track on sat. best run was a 13.71 @ 103mph.
had bad 60ft time but was lunching on stock rubber. car wieghs 3700 lbs with me in it that was a suprize 4 sure 3630 with out me . i was shock to see my friends 86 cutlass with full power and 60/40 splitbench was only 3650 with him in it . i would of bet the 08 bullit was lighter than a 86 g body with steel wheels and a 422ci sbc ?

Something is off on your car's weight - maybe the scale? My '07 GT Coupe weighs 3530 lbs with a full tank of gas and everything on board. Add me and it's 3700 lbs (I weigh 170). I weighed it at the Dept of Transportation weigh scales along Interstate 5, which are accurate to within 20 lbs. An 08/09 Bullitt is supposed to weigh about 3450 lbs.

I think he ment to say 3530 with out him in it because his car weighs the same as yours when you are each in your own car, 3700lbs. Unless he only weighs 70lbs. But 13.71 that is pretty good for a stock car. I have a 2008 GT and I am hoping to break into the low 13's with a CAI,3:73, and a short throw shifter.

13.7 doesn't sound right! What's the rest of your slip look like? My stock GT ran 13.84 It came with 3.31. A Bullit with FRPP "cold air" and 3.73 will run low 13's....I've seen it. I don't mean to rain on your parade but there is more potential in your car, thats why I'ld like to see your slip.

I'd say that's a decent time on stock rubber with good mph. If I were you I would get 18inch drag radials on your stock wheels, an aluminum driveshaft, and work on a good launch technique and the car will probably run real low 13's @ 105 or better.

What altitude is your track at? If the density altitude was high, 13.71 at 103 MPH might be a really good number. I saw a 08 Bullit run low 14's at 99 MPH all night long at a density altitude of 350 feet this month! He told me his 60' times were in the 2.60's and he was shifting at 4,500 RPM's? He was convinced I had nitrous or a blower because I was running 13.1 at 107 MPH on stock tires.
