Went to Gainesville FFW and ran street stang. I recently added plenum, t/b, and ditched my flowmasters and tailpipes for some dumped magnaflows. For some reason my car wouldnt trap higher than 101(I'm sure the weather didn't help, but almost everyones car was running strong  ) so my baby wasnt very competitive:(. I did run a string of 1.90-1.92 60's on street tires with a bone stock suspension with the sway bar intact @ 3600lbs.

i wish i could cut some 60' times like that... would you share your launch technique?
I do a nice 4-7second burnout with the tire pressure at 25psi. Hold the revs about 3500 and slip the clutch until i feel the car hook, once that happens, I roll into the throttle very smoothly and quickly. Track prep is key but even with marginal prep, i pull low 2.0s high 1.9s.
I was pulling these times on michelin pilot sports. I also have used sumitomo htrzII's and gotten 1.9s. I haven't been in the 1.9's on my khumo 711's though.

Best I pulled on street tires and stock suspension is a 1.87. Consistent 1.9's. I promise you man, the Kumho's can do it. I've done it in my auto MANY times, and my buddy does it in his 5-sp. at badly prepped tracks. Don't lose hope :D

BTW, unbolt the sway bar next time ;) Those times look pretty good man.

what kinda times were ya runnin? Can ya tell if the TB/Plenum helped at all?

i dont know whats going on with my car...tony was trapping 106-107. The difference Mod wise, is he has jba's, intake spacer and a SCT dynotune(obviously very adaptive). His car also weighs about 200lbs less. So even with the weight difference Im still lgiving up 2.5-3.5mph. Time to get with SCT i think
