10th Anniversary Tomorrow...........

I'm celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary tomorrow!!!

Going all out with the tux along and a fancy dinner/hotel. Planned a couple days of fun/relaxation in downtown Atlanta. The restaurant is in a 74 story hotel on the 73rd floor and it rotates slowly to give a 360 view of the city, so that's pretty cool. Same restaurant/hotel where I proposed 10 1/2 years ago, so that makes it a little more special.

Now days, 10 years seems rare. Just had to share as this is a pretty big thing in my life.

One of my co-workers has been married 51 years as of last week!

Thanks everyone!

Just been thinking today what all I've been through over the past ten years and it really is amazing. Thankfully till now we've always been healthy and hopefully that trend will continue for many many years.

If I've learned anything, it is to prepare for a rainy day but never at the expense of being consumed by it in the process........gotta have fun and do what you enjoy. I'm not sure what trick there is to marriage, but my wife being my best friend sure keeps things in perspective.

Gotta love a wife that fully supports my addiction to my car!

Yes it is becoming increasingly rare for anyone to make it that long much less do anything special to celebrate it. It's nice to be happy in your own shoes. Have fun.

The trick to marriage? Don't marry someone pretending to be your best friend, and only agrees with your goals as a couple, until the vows are said. Psychos is a term that comes to mind.

It takes TWO to tango... it takes TWO to make a marriage work. Our councilor / pastor even said it didn't matter how hard one person tries, if the other person doesn't care, it won't work.

So congrats on finding a good one!
