I have a 98 auto gt, i know auto and non pi but im 18 and its my first car so I want to keep it. right now I have A/T flowmaster cat back, mac catted h-pipe, and an K&N air filter. Do you think a pi intake, gears, and xcaliber will get me in the 13's? If not what else will i need?

I dare say for you to make the 13's its going to take a power adder in addition to what you just said. Go with 4.30 gears and get a nitrous kit and you'll be there... along with your PI manifold and stuff. Good luck

I have 4.10's, PI manifold, O/R H pipe, Mac Catback, alum flywheel, K&N intake, ported plenum and some suspension stuff and i cant hit 13's I would imagine the auto would be even harder.

Thats tough, a stock 98GT 5spd runns about 15.1 in the 1/4, not sure about the auto... To get into the 13's you would need roughly 280HP with 4.10 gears, and suspension work. My suggestion would be to save up for a S/C or Heads and Cams...That could possibly be your only way

Really well your amazing E-thug friend would probably disagree seeing as how he said he only had a few bolt-ons and was hitting 13's in his 98 GT. it does not take a power adder to get 13's thats probably the stupidest statement I have ever heard. I know people with all NPI stuff and full bolt-ons who are hitting 13's N/A easily. Dont go with 4.30 gears they are to steep a gear for GT's. 4.10's are perfect for our cars no less, no more. I dont think the gears, PI intake and xcalibrator can get you 13's without some nice suspension work. If you can pull 1.8 60's you would be amazed at the times you can run. My suggestion get some 4.10's, DR's, LCA's, PI Intake (or whole headswap if u can afford it), maybe some other rear suspension mods and see what you can do.

Really depends on how well you can drive your car. 4.10's will make it harder to launch but if you can launch it good with them you can shave anywhere from .3-.5 off your 1/4 mile. PI intake is good for 15-20 rwhp and xcaliber really doesnt do all that much. I would guess if u could get some 2.0-2.1 60's u could be in the low 14's. Alot of how fast u run depends on how well prepped the track is, elevation, and tempature/humidity. Only one way to find out how fast u can go with those mods

Cheapest would be 100 shot of nitrous and you are there easily. I know thats not N/A though. Full PI headswap and some nice DR's will get you 13's that would be my suggestion. I mean there is alot of different combos that can get you into the 13's. PI intake, cams, DR's that should get you into the 13's. Find out if your car has 2.73's or 3.27's if it has the 2.73's you really need gears. My suggestion would be if you are set on getting 13's right now get the PI headswap and some nice DR's and you will get it.
