Well, I turn on the news this morning before I go to work and one of the breaking stories was a 17 year old kid that had borrowed his mom’s mustang. He ended up crashing and was killed No one else was hurt.

I will try and find some pics of the crash but looks like he slammed into a guardrail then into a tree. The 11:00 news will be on soon and I will see if they say anything more about it. Looked like it was a trueblue 99-04.

Ok just pulled this off of the local news webpage.

"SOUTH WINDSOR -- A South Windsor teen is dead after a car crash on Interstate 84.

State police say that 17-year-old Ryan Foley was heading west on I-84 in Manchester when he lost control around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.

His mother's Mustang crashed through a guard rail and slammed into an electric utility box on a DOT video pole.

State police are asking anyone who may have seen the crash to give them a call. "

This is the link if you wan't to see the short video.

It's a Mustang so everyone is gonna assume he was racing or driving fast.

In reality, it was probably a V6 (since it was his moms) and maybe he swerved to avoid a dog or something?

definatly a sixer, stock steel 16" wheels small side scoops and no hood scoop.

Still a shame a young man died.. gotta pray for the family.

It looks like it could have been a survivable accident if he had his seatbelt on.

I'm 17, going on 18, its not the car, you can give a teenager a prius and he will kill himself and give another teenager a veyron and he will do just fine...

he was 18 not 17
it was his car that his mom bought for him so it was her name
and it was an accident, he lost control of the car

yeah it's unfortunately, I'm 18 and when i first got my car I was a bit reckless with it and eventually i realized that it wasn't worth the risk and now i'm a lot more careful. God help his family, that's such a hard thing to go through
