My question is, how much did it cost to get 400 rwhp out of that jap crap? Anyone can get 400 rwhp from a 347 with good heads, naturally aspirated. (around $2000)
400hp from a stock 5.0 HO is easy with a paxton supercharger ($2650) on board.

Nothing beats the V-8 rumble.

It is not my thing. I can really appreciate the work and engineering that went into building it, it is just not my thing.

Its sad to go through all the trouble of placing a supra motor and only have 413hp, now if it was 800hp it would be full of win.

interesting. well, im doing a 3.8l twin turbo in a '67, so i cant bash it. except the fact its a Jap engine. shoulda kept ford in the ford.

nothing insane, i just want a unique cruiser. 200ish horse, but i want around 300 ft/lbs. stock numbers are 140/205

You can make a lot more power than that. I have a 3.8 with a procharger D-1sc making 550hp.
You can make that easly with a twin setup with forged rod and pistons.

internals are going to be all forged, higher rate valve springs and cam from that ford v6 site. but my plan is very conservative boost for a while, i mean, more power= more air + more fuel. i wanna keep it as a cruiser, not mad power. at least, for now

Thats a very good setup, make sure you get the stage 3 heads to. It really helps. As far as gas mileage I get 18mpg but I could get more from the tune but I never really cared about it.
