1968 mustang frame problem

I have a 68 stang. I took it to a shop to get it looked at and the guy says "the frame is rotting away and I should replace it." Any advice on what I should do? Thanks

Replace it if you're handy....or pay someone to if not. I think you can buy just about every part for a Mustang and there are 100's of web sites showing the how-to's.

It depends on where it is rusted it may only need a small section replaced and not the whole frame rail.

Have you been under the car to see what the problem is, or just relaying the message from the mechanic? Did you by chance take pictures?

The car was sprayed with black paint underneath so when I look under you cant really see anything. So, I'm pretty much goin with what my guy said. Sorry no pics but I'll try to take some

Mustangs are unibody, and have no frame, so you can't replace "it". They do, however, have frame rails, and these can be replaced.

Thinking about whelding in new frame rails. Where is the best place to by them from. I want quality, not the cheapest one.

I'd use the Dynacorn item. That rusty rail was replaced.
