I know just where to store it, and I'm perfectly willing to film the conversation I have with the wife when I tell her that her tahoe will park on the driveway while 2 workbenches, a toolbox, shelves, 1 street crotch-rocket, 1 track only crotch-rocket, 1 ready to drive fox, and 1 '83 rust bucket t-top coupe occupy my 3 car garage and I'll even post that video here if I can buy it for $1k.

I'm getting it, but keep in touch with me, who knows how I'll feel after putting the red car together. Sorry man.

Yellow, hummmmm......

I've got oodles of time to select a color.

Hey, that's not a t-top. Is that an '83?

BTW, how'd the hell did I end up having two t-tops?

Yeah Chris, a few things like that I noticed!

But, in the end, it's an '83 t-top coupe that probably had fewer than five made in that color. I'm pretty hyped.

Etch Green actually, if I remember correctly it's late 82 with sun roof.

Just in case it didn't come across the way I intended- I am genuinely excited for you. That car is a Score. T-tops and factory AC = Score

Thanks Chris. If this were ANYTHING other than an '83 (or if it were an '84) t-top coupe, I wouldn't bother with it at all.

There's a headache involved with the initial repair to make it run, Finding a place to do the work. I'll find a place to get that done though. I would only need a weekend to make it drive able (and maybe another $1k).

Ok, got back to the yard. The car has some issues, no surprise there.

JY dude said that the engine ran pretty rough when he brought it to the yard. I need to look into these engines a bit. It has aluminum heads from the factory and I heard the head gaskets are prone to blow. @madmike1157 you have some experience with these v6's don't you? What're the common issues with this motor?

Ok, here's the big rub.....I need a place that I could do the basic work it'll need to be a driver. It seems all my friends that have enough room live 30 or more miles away. If I didn't live in my uppity neighborhood that my wife had to live in, I would take care of it in my driveway.

Nothing's easy....

#1. I have zero experience with a 3.8l V-6. Other than the entire day I just spent messing w/ #2's car.
#2. Nothing's easy?

Here,.... I have an easy solution for you........ Leave that car right where it sits.

#3. If you just have to get it, why not store that thing in one of the millions of rentable storage garages all over the place? It gives you a place to actually go and work on the car, It may even be big enough for Doby. Just ask @tannerc91gt .

My rental garage was awesome. $150/mo got me a 20x12 or there about with electric and then I moved to a 24x20(ish) with 220 for $300. Did that for a few months before I bought my house.

Better than a typical storage unit. Also be a good business to get into I think. If you can stumble across a 20x250 building lol

@Davedacarpainter so is this going to look as clean as Trbofox's?

http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/started-the-84-t-top-coupe.772468/

Kind of similar paint as Doby.

I liked his car a bit. Probably no 335's, either irs or 315's on a full mini-tub.

I could live without the hood he used.

He had a lot more work fixing rust than I will!

Thinking a black interior. One of those kits that comes with carpet and seats. I'll have to do that relatively early, the seats and carpet reak to hell right now. Probably go ahead and replace the headliner too. The smell will have to be gone.

This will be my baby though, no worrying about grandkids or anything. Rear seat delete, roll bar, etc.....

Like Doby, I'll probably put a modern version of the dark blue on it, like @Boosted92LX 's new gt.

If it's going to be a driver use sn carpets and seats. Cheap, readily available, and it works well in the fox. The carpet needs trimmed a little at the door sill and back seat but a good example can be had for much less than an acc mass back.

Really? I didn't know that.

I wonder what the going cost might be? I'm going to do that probably within a couple months, it just smells bad in it right now.
